When a subcontracted interior designer abruptly left the project, leaving custom finishes and fixtures unfulfilled, sdPM mobilized a collaborative effort to keep the project on track. With the risk of project cancellation looming, the team remained solution-oriented. By re-selecting contractor-grade materials that visually aligned with the original specifications, the team preserved the project’s vision. Ownership purchased the remaining high-end and non-negotiable materials directly.
How we did it
sdPM approved equivalent materials and released non-critical details within the scope, ensuring the project’s cost baseline remained intact for both the G.C and the client. By identifying small areas for compromise, the contractor gained the flexibility needed to stay on budget and retain the awarded contract.
